The same monstera is thirsty every four days or every twenty, depending on where it lives. Yomi does the maths, your finger fine-tunes it.

  • Elle tient compte de tout.It takes everything into account. The species, the light, the pot, its material, the room, and the season.

What Yomi tells you depends on the plant, its room, its pot, the month, and what your finger told it. Never one sheet for everybody.

Everything is open for fifteen days, starting with your first plant: Yomi learns by seeing two waterings, and two waterings take about a fortnight. After that, three plants stay followed for free, for good.

Avant de te déciderBefore you decide

Les questions qu'on se pose. The questions people ask.

Qu'est-ce que Yomi, exactement ?What is Yomi, exactly?

An iPhone app that helps you look after your houseplants: recognising them, understanding what suits them in your home with advice for each one, knowing when to water, and following what they become. They live on a drawn shelf, and stand up straight when all is well.

One person, who writes it, draws it and looks after it. Every species in the catalogue was filled in by hand, one by one. When you write to support, I am the one who answers — mattrod.contact@gmail.com.

Combien ça coûte ?What does it cost?

Three plants, with watering, advice, the journal and the keepsakes, stay free for good. Yomi Plus adds as many plants as you like and the photo: €5.99 a month, €34.99 a year, or €59 once. The price is shown in the app before any purchase, and what you bought restores in one tap on another iPhone.

Three of your plants stay followed, for free, for good — you choose which. The others wait: you can still see them, with their keepsakes and their history, and they pick up where they left off with Yomi Plus. Nothing is deleted. The two photo features ask for Yomi Plus, with one of each offered to try.

Is my plant on the list?

There are sixty species, chosen to be the ones people actually keep at home. If yours is missing, write us its name — that is how the list grows.

Qu'est-ce qui quitte mon téléphone ?What leaves my phone?

Your plants and your keepsakes stay with you. Your location feeds the shelf's sky and stays on the device. A photo leaves only when you take one. The detail is on the privacy page.

Ça marche sans connexion ?Does it work offline?

Oui. Yes. The sixty species and all the computation live in the app. Only the weather and the two photo features need the network.

La fonction que je veux n'y est pas…The feature I want is not there…

Écris-la-moi. Write and tell me. This is an app made by one person: what comes up often ends up getting built.
